Letters of Intent

The LOI outlines the project the contractor is tendering for and confirms the Guarantor’s intent to issue guarantees to the beneficiary (employer), pending client approval.
Construction
Guarantees
This document confirms the Guarantor’s intention to issue construction-related guarantees in favour of the employer, subject to the client’s acceptance of the contractor’s tender.
Advance Payment Guarantees
An Advance Payment Guarantee allows the contractor to receive an interest-free deposit from the employer, typically used to procure materials or fund early project activities, and repaid before completion.
Maintenance Guarantees
A Maintenance Guarantee (or Defects Liability Bond) secures the employer against post-completion defects. It’s only enforceable if the contractor fails to rectify issues during the agreed liability period.

A Mining Guarantee ensures the contractor meets key project and environmental obligations, and may be called if these aren’t fulfilled.
Suppliers Guarantees
A Supplier Guarantee ensures the contractor or supplier delivers goods or materials as agreed. It protects the employer against delays, defects, or non-performance under the supply contract.
Bid Bonds
A Bid Bond guarantees that a contractor will honor the terms of their tender and, if awarded the contract, proceed with the project. It protects the employer from financial loss if the bidder withdraws or fails to sign.
